Maryland men’s basketball will wrap up a four-game homestand against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Terrapins are coming off a dominant 72-59 win to sweep the season series against Minnesota. Aaron Wiggins starred for Maryland, scoring 17 points for the second consecutive game. Big man Galin Smith also had arguably his best performance yet in a Terps uniform, scoring 10 points off the bench while adding five rebounds, four assists and two blocks.

Nebraska is having another underwhelming season, sitting at 5-12 overall and 1-9 in the Big Ten. The Cornhuskers, however, are coming off their first Big Ten win, which is their first ending in the win column against a Division I team since December 1. Nebraska picked up a much-needed 62-61 upset victory at Penn State this past Sunday, a place where the Terrapins lost this season.

Junior Teddy Allen has been the Cornhuskers’ best player this season. Allen leads the team in scoring at 16.6 points per game while also averaging five rebounds per night. This is Allen’s, a Western Nebraska Community College transfer, first Division I season since his 2017-18 campaign at West Virginia.

The two-game series marks the first time Maryland will play the same opponent on back-to-back days since January 1949 at Miami.

Both Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s games are set to tip off at 7 p.m. and will air on Big Ten Network.
