Maryland men’s basketball is back on the road to take on the Indiana Hoosiers in both teams’ first game of 2021.
The Terrapins are coming off a tough 84-73 home loss against No. 16 Michigan. While Donta Scott shined with 19 points, Maryland didn’t have enough to contain the Wolverines’ star big man Hunter Dickinson, who finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds.
Indiana currently sits at 6-4 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten, just half a game ahead of Maryland. The Hoosiers lost their first two conference games to Northwestern at home and at Illinois, but pulled out a much-needed 87-85 overtime victory in their most recent contest at home against Penn State.
All-Big Ten forward Trayce-Jackson Davis has starred for the Hoosiers thus far, averaging 20.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Maryland swept the season series with the Hoosiers last season, including a thrilling 77-76 road win the last time the two teams met.
The game is set to tip off at 8 p.m. and will air on Big Ten Network.
