Maryland men’s basketball returns to its home floor Wednesday night to battle the 14th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers.
Last time out, the Terrapins made history with their 63-49 handling of No. 17 Minnesota, marking the first season in program history when they topped three AP Top 25 teams on the road. Minnesota’s total of 49 points is the second-lowest point total the team has allowed in a conference game since joining the Big Ten, when Maryland held Nebraska to 45 points in February 2019.
That accomplishment began in Madison, when Maryland pulled off a stunning 70-64 victory over the then-No. 6 Badgers.
Wisconsin has gone 4-2 since the home loss to the Terps, currently on a skid with a 12-4 record after entering the first matchup with Maryland at 8-1. This feels like a decent dropoff per the program’s standards this season after looking like one of the best teams in the country less than a month ago.
All the action tips off at 9 p.m. and will be televised on Big Ten Network.
