Maryland men’s basketball will face No. 12 Illinois on the road Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET.
The Terps are looking to avoid a four-game losing streak as they take on yet another ranked opponent in the Fighting Illini, led by the star duo of Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn. With a 1-5 record thus far, Maryland is the only team in the Big Ten with more than four losses in conference play, and another defeat would bring that total to six.
Eric Ayala won’t be in action after suffering a groin injury against Iowa, which wasn’t disclosed in availability before the matchup. He was a game-time decision and is day-to-day.
The matchup will air on Big Ten Network.
