After the final games of the regular season were wrapped up Sunday — including No. 9 Maryland men’s basketball’s 83-70 victory over No. 25 Michigan to clinch a share of its first Big Ten title — the Big Ten tournament bracket was announced later that night.
The Terps received a No. 3 seed — behind only No. 1-seed Wisconsin and No. 2-seed Michigan State.
The tournament will begin Wednesday at 6 p.m. with the opening-round games as No. 12-Minnesota against No. 13-seed Northwestern and No. 11-seed Indiana against No. 14-seed Nebraska.
Following a first two-round bye, Maryland will take on the winner of No. 6-seed Penn State and the Hoosiers/ Cornhuskers Friday at 9 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
