No. 7 Maryland men’s basketball will look to continue its winning ways and extend its winning streak to 10 games as it takes on No. 25 Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio, Sunday.
This is not the first time the two teams have met up this season. The Terps came away with a 67-55 win over then-No. 11 Ohio State back in January at Xfinity Center after playing great defense and getting a big game from Anthony Cowan Jr, who scored 20 points.
The Terps come into this game looking to extend their lead at the top of the Big Ten with just five games left to play this season. Maryland will play three of its last five games on the road, so picking up a win in Columbus could set the tone.
To come away with the big road win, Maryland will need to shut down Kaleb Wesson — a prototypical dominant college big man averaging 13.9 points per game — and Duane Washington Jr., who averages 10.8 points per game with a 39.1 percent shooting clip from long range.
The numbers
Maryland: 22-4 (12-3 Big Ten)
Ohio State: 17-9 (7-8 Big Ten)
All-time series: Maryland leads 9-6
Odds: Ohio State -2.5, O/U 132.5 (as of Saturday night)
