Maryland men’s basketball has a tough road test ahead as it looks to stay undefeated against Clemson Wednesday. The game is part of the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, which the Terps hold an 11-10 all-time record in.
The Terps were slated to play their first away game of the season last Saturday against James Madison, but the game was cancelled due to a positive coronavirus case within the Dukes’ program.
The last time Maryland took the floor, the team improved to 4-0 with a 90-57 victory over Saint Peter’s. The Terps have displayed an explosive offense so far this season, averaging over 84.7 points per game with the nation’s ninth-best shooting percentage.
Clemson is 3-0, with wins over Mississippi State, Purdue and South Carolina State. While the two teams have not met since Maryland’s departure from the ACC, the Terps hold an all-time 90-50 advantage in the series. Both teams are ranked inside the top-35 of KenPom.
The game is set to tip off at 5 p.m. and will air on ESPN2.
