Maryland men’s basketball will host the La Salle Explorers in its final nonconference meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Terps, coming off an eight-day break for final exams, last took the hardwood in a 74-60 loss to the now-No. 11 Rutgers Scarlet Knights. As they also dropped their game against Clemson in the Big Ten-ACC challenge, the team now finds itself with a 4-2 record.

Eric Ayala (13.2 points per game) and Donta Scott (13 points per game) lead the team in scoring thus far. Scott, the Terps’ 6-foot-7 forward, is also averaging a team-best 61.1% from deep and team-high 7.2 rebounds.

The Explorers enter College Park after winning three of their last four games, including a come-from-behind 71-61 win over the Delaware Blue Hens on Saturday.

Senior David Beatty has scored in double-figures in each of his last three games and put up 18 points in Saturday’s win. After he led the team on a 15-0 run in the second-half to overcome a double-digit deficit, the team knocked down a perfect 8-of-8 free throws in the final minutes to cement its win.

Tuesday’s game is the first between the two schools in 26 years, when No. 9 Maryland picked up a double-digit victory at Cole Field House. All the action begins at 7 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
