Maryland men's basketball is back on the rise in the AP Top 25.
The Terps (16-4, 6-3 Big Ten) come in at No. 15 in the latest poll released Monday, moving up two spots from last week’s rankings.
The past week brought some big milestones for Mark Turgeon’s squad as it won its first two true road contests of the season, including a win at Northwestern and the program’s first victory against Indiana at Assembly Hall since joining the Big Ten.
Maryland jumps Butler and Auburn, now ranked 16 and 17, respectively.
Alongside the Terps, there are five other teams from the conference in the Week 13 poll, including No. 14 Michigan State, No. 18 Iowa, No. 19 Illinois, No. 24 Penn State and No. 25 Rutgers. Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue and Wisconsin are all receiving votes.
With the Hawkeyes at No. 18, Thursday’s matchup in College Park will be just the second time this season Maryland takes on a ranked squad. The team faced then-No. 11 Ohio State at home on Jan. 7 and won, 67-55.
