It’s Big Ten tournament time!
Maryland basketball earned a single bye in Chicago this week, so the Terps start their run today against No. 13-seed Nebraska, who advanced past Rutgers last night. The winner of this game faces No. 4-seed Wisconsin tomorrow.
In the first game of the day, Ohio State held off Indiana, 79-75, to advance to the quarterfinals. Tipoff between the Terps and Huskers is approximately 25 minutes away, which means approximately 3:15 p.m. ET.
The Terps took both meetings from Nebraska this season, but the Huskers have won two straight, and star senior James Palmer Jr. is coming off a 34-point performance as he tries to extend his college career. Still, the Huskers are shorthanded without Isaac Copeland Jr., and Maryland’s Bruno Fernando and Jalen Smith have dominated both matchups inside.
As always, this space is yours for observations, commentary and more during the game. Be respectful, and go Terps.
