Maryland basketball is set to tip off at Madison Square Garden against Illinois. It’s technically a home game for the No. 13 Terps, who will be looking to move to 8-2 in the Big Ten.
Maryland had a seven-game winning streak snapped Monday night at No. 6 Michigan State, but still enters this game with a 16-4 overall record. Illinois is just 5-14 this season and 1-7 in conference play. However, that one conference win came by 27 points over Minnesota, so it’s still a potentially dangerous squad.
As always, this is your space for observations, commentary and more during the game. Be respectful, and go Terps.
