GameThread: Maryland basketball vs. Nebraska

Follow along as the Terps resume conference play against the No. 24 Huskers.

NCAA Basketball: Maryland at Navy Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

It’s January of a new year, which for college basketball fans means it’s time for conference play. While Big Ten teams have already played two league games each, this is where league season really ramps up. For Maryland, 2019 starts with a home game against Nebraska.

Both teams went 1-1 in the early games, and this matchup is almost a toss-up. Maryland is favored by KenPom, but Vegas gives an edge to Nebraska. The Huskers carry a No. 24 ranking, so a Maryland win would be its first over a ranked team since 2016. Both teams are expected to have key forwards back, with Maryland’s Jalen Smith returning from illness and Nebraska’s Isaiah Roby back from injury.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on BTN. As always, this will be your space to discuss what you’re seeing with your fellow Maryland fans. Be respectful, and go Terps.
