Maryland basketball had chances to take down Purdue on the road Thursday, but fell two points short after a stagnant second half of offense. But the No. 23 Terps don’t have to wait long for a chance to get back in the win column, as they play Loyola-Chicago in Baltimore on Saturday.
The Ramblers are coming off a Final Four appearance this spring, and several of the pieces from that squad are back. But Loyola-Chicago has fallen to No. 6 Nevada, No. 25 Furman, Boston College and Ball State this season and is just 5-4 overall. It’s not a big team, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Ramblers match up with Maryland down low.
The game is the second leg of a doubleheader in the Charm City Classic. Towson and Morgan State will play each other at 1:15 p.m. ET.
