Maryland basketball hosts Penn State at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday to start Big Ten play. The Terps enter this two-game introduction to the conference schedule with a 6-1 record, and at least for now, they’re ranked No. 24 in the country.
In the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, Maryland lost to No. 4 Virginia by a 76-71 final. The Terps nearly erased a 17-point deficit but ultimately came up short. Penn State, meanwhile, took down No. 13 Virginia Tech in State College on Tuesday. The Nittany Lions enter Saturday with a 4-2 record overall.
