Justin Jackson hasn’t officially declared anything yet, but FanRagSports’ Jon Rothstein reports that he’s “expected” to return to Maryland basketball.
But Jackson’s official account, which he explained at his Tuesday workout with the Toronto Raptors, differs from that report. He says he hasn’t made any decision yet, which means he’ll have to release his final decision today.
Today is the deadline for prospects who haven’t hired agents to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to school. Jackson has to make his official decision at some point today, and it could come at any time. Last year, Melo Trimble took until late at night to decide to stay for his junior season. Will we see a similar timeline with Jackson, or will he prove Rothstein right and make his decision earlier in the day?
Buckle up.
UPDATE 11:10 a.m.: Yep, he’s back.
