New, comments

Turgeon ditched his usual calm demeanor after the Terps’ win.

Maryland basketball ended the regular season on a high note with a 63-60 Senior Day win over Michigan State. This was the final regular season home game for seniors Damonte Dodd and L.G. Gill. Head coach Mark Turgeon got uncharacteristically emotional in his post-game presser.

Some bullet points:

  • The Terps will finish tied for second in the Big Ten and will have the 3-seed in next week’s Big Ten Tournament, earning a double bye.
  • In their three years since joining the Big Ten, they’ve finished no worse than tied for second in the league.
  • Turgeon actually told Trimble to drive before pulling up for the game-winning three-pointer.
