Maryland basketball’s NCAA Tournament opener against Xavier on Thursday is scheduled for a 6:50 p.m. tipoff on TNT, according to CBS’s Matt Norlander.

Ian Eagle and Steve Lavin will have the call from the booth, with Evan Washburn serving as the sideline reporter. This will be the day’s third game in Orlando, following Virginia-UNC Wilmington and Florida-East Tennessee State. Once Maryland’s either won or lost, Florida State will take on Florida Gulf Coast. The Terps would face the winner of that last game on Saturday if they beat Xavier, but no time has been announced yet for that.

Norlander also has Friday’s tip times, if you’re interested.

The field of 68 has been set, and the tournament kicks off with the First Four in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday. None of those games will have an effect on Maryland’s West Region, but it’ll be our first taste of the tournament in almost a year.
