Maryland basketball made another tribute video for Melo Trimble

We’re starting to see a pattern here.

Maryland basketball has released another ode to Melo Trimble, this time in the tune of Lionel Richie’s “Hello.”

Trimble is nearing the end of his junior season, and will have to decide again whether or not to leave the Terps for the NBA. They’re starting the feels early, and this video is part “Melo we love you,” part “oh no, why did they do this,” and part “why are Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens here.”

It’s nice, and kind of heartwarming. You gotta appreciate the effort.

This is the second track on the “Melo Mixtape” (Alternate title: Melo Please Come Back Next Season Mixtape). The first was a rendition of Adele’s “Hello.”

We’re starting to see a pattern here.

Maryland’s tributes are nice, but rapper Wale still has the best Melo shoutout, from his song “Groundhog Day.”

Let’s just all hope that there’s either: a) no more of these, they’re getting weird or b) they get creative and don’t choose a third song named “Hello”.
