Maryland basketball plays Iowa tonight at 6 p.m.
The Terps are riding a two-game losing streak, while the Hawkeyes beat Indiana on Wednesday to break a three-game skid.
Maryland will honor its 2001 team and 2002 national championship team at halftime.
“One of the main reasons we came here is because of that. The players come here, you show them the trophy, you show them the floor, you talk about the two Final Fours. It’s why you come to Maryland,” Turgeon told reporters Friday. “We talked about it after the game. As disappointed as we were, we were like, ‘Okay guys, Saturday night, we’ve got the national champions in the building. We better be ready to go.’ ”
