The Terps are still looking to add more pieces to the puzzle, but with five-star power forward Jalen Smith, four-star small forward Aaron Wiggins and four-star combo guard Eric Ayala already in the fold, one could argue this is already head coach Mark Turgeon’s most impressive class yet.
For reference, Ayala—the lowest-ranked of the three-man class—has a higher 247Sports Composite rating than both Darryl Morsell and Bruno Fernando, each of whom has already looked solid in the team’s first two games of the season. Pairing these three with Morsell and Fernando could make for some exciting moments in College Park.
