Maryland basketball returned to the final spot in the Associated Press top 25 last week, and now the Terps are at No. 22 in the newest poll, out on Monday.

Since reclaiming that spot in the top 25, the Terps beat Iowa 84-76 on Thursday, extending their winning streak to four games. Maryland is tied with Wisconsin atop the Big Ten with a 5-1 conference record (17-2 total). The Terps are No. 44 in KenPom’s rankings.

Villanova has the top spot in the poll, followed by Kansas for the second straight week. Gonzaga, Kentucky and Baylor round up the top five after UCLA moved down from No. 3 to No. 8 following its loss to Arizona.

Purdue and Wisconsin are the other Big Ten teams in the poll. The Boilermakers are No. 20 and the Badgers are No. 17. The Terps play Purdue on Feb. 4 and Wisconsin on Feb. 19.

Maryland plays twice this week: Tuesday against Rutgers and Saturday against Minnesota.
