Maryland basketball: Looking at NBA Draft projections for Melo Trimble and Diamond Stone following NCAA Tournament loss

With the Terps' season over, the focus will shift to the NBA draft and whether Maryland will lose Melo Trimble and Diamond Stone to the NBA. That and more in today's Maryland Minute.

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Maryland's season came to an unfortunate end Thursday night. Maryland fans saw Jake Layman, Rasheed Sulaimon and Varun Ram in a Maryland uniform for the last time. But what about Melo Trimble and Diamond Stone? Was this there last game playing for Maryland? Let's take a look one of the latest NBA mock drafts.

DraftExpress: Mock Draft - March 23
Diamond Stone checks in at No. 23, Melo Trimble is No. 35, Jake Layman is 45. and Robert Carter is 51st. Maryland would lose it's entire starting five, but I suspect Trimble, Stone and Carter could return to Maryland, too. I'm not sure Trimble or Stone would leave early if that's where they graded out. It would be shocking if Stone, Trimble and Carter didn't explore the NBA waters and ultimately withdraw their names before the deadline.
