NCAA Tournament 2016: Laying out Maryland basketball's path

The Terps have a chance, but a second-round matchup with Cal could be challenging.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

It's the 40th episode of the Testudo Times Podcast, and it's time to finally put on our dancing shoes, because the NCAA Tournament is here at last.

On this show, Alex Kirshner and I covered Maryland's upcoming NCAA Tournament draw from many angles, and we touched upon:

- How confident should Maryland fans be after their team's performance at the B1G Tournament in Indianapolis?

- Do the Terps match up well with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits? And should they fear the 12-5 jinx?

- What would a hypothetical Round of 32 Game against Cal look like?

- Would a trip to the Sweet 16 be a success for this iteration of the Terps?

We also touched on the gong show that was the recording of this show. It was bad. But that shouldn't affect what we talked about... I hope. Make sure to rate/vote and subscribe to the show on iTunes and SoundCloud, and comment on the show and tell us how we're doing. We can always get better. And don't forget to join up in the Testudo Times Bracket Challenge group!

Enjoy the Big Dance. Happy listening.
