Maryland takes on Nebraska in the quarterfinals of the the Big Ten Conference tournament. The Terps will be playing in their first game, having earned a double-bye. The Cornhuskers will be playing in their third game in as many days, having defeated No. 14 seed Rutgers on Wednesday and No. 6 seed Wisconsin Thursday.
This will be just the third meeting between the two schools, all of which were Maryland victories. The Terps traveled to Lincoln, NE in the beginning of February, returning to College Park with a five point victory. Melo Trimble led Maryland with 20 points, going 5 of 7 from the field and 7 of 9 from the free throw line.
In last year's Big Ten Tournament, Maryland also earned a double-bye and won its quarterfinal game against Indiana before falling to Michigan State in the semifinals the next day.
Maryland is playing in the last game of the day on Friday, so tip off is scheduled for approximately 8:55 ET, but could end up being later.
