Maryland basketball’s matchup with Howard on Wednesday is a late one. The Terps take on the Bison on ESPNU at 9 p.m.
This starts an easy run for Maryland, as the Terps don’t play another team ranked in KenPom’s top 100 until conference play starts on Dec. 27. The Bison are KenPom’s No. 293 team, which is the lowest-ranked team Maryland’s played since opening the season against American.
The Bison beat American last week for their only win so far this season. There’s still a chance Maryland plays Howard close because that’s just been what the Terps have done all season, but this really shouldn’t be too much of a contest.
The numbers
Maryland: 8-1
Howard: 1-5
Odds: None available yet.
KenPom gives the Terps a 94 percent chance of winning and projects a score of 78-60.
