Before the Maryland football team plays Michigan State under the lights at Maryland Stadium this Saturday, the men’s basketball team is holding an open practice.
The team will hold practice at 3 p.m., which figures to give fans a chance to move right from Xfinity Center to the football stadium once practice is over.
Last Friday’s Maryland Madness gave fans their first glimpse at a couple of the team’s new players. Senior transfer L.G. Gill and freshmen Kevin Huerter and Micah Thomas participated in the dunk contest, but now we’ll get to see at least a glimpse of how the team’s six new players fit in.
It’ll also be another chance to see Dion Wiley — who missed all of last season with a knee injury — play some actual basketball. He’ll be a key contributor on a team that lost four of its starters from last season.
Maryland football and Michigan play at 7:30 to conclude the day.
