Maryland football will debut White Ops helmets against Ohio State


Maryland will pull debut another new helmet this week against Ohio State. They will follow up last week's Black Ops with the introduction of the White Ops for the first time this season.

Maryland DE Yannick Ngakoue named to Butkus Award watch list


As an outside linebacker in 2014, Ngakoue had 37 tackles with 13.5 for a loss and six sacks. The Butkus Award is annually given to the nation's top linebacker, so perhaps the committee didn't get the memo about him switching positions this offseason.

Maryland and Johns Hopkins will now play for a 25-pound crab trophy


That thing is MASSIVE. Per the description, it stands at 22" tall, 32" wide and weighs in at 25 pounds, and is referred to as #TheRivalry Trophy (let's hope that's a working title. The two teams will square off this Saturday at Byrd Stadium.

Turgeonites honor Maryland seniors with cool signs


The Turgeonites, Maryland's most famous group of sportcoat-wearing fans, put together a clever set of signs to honor the Terrapin seniors who will play their last home game on Saturday. Props for creativity on these, Turgeonites.
