Maryland football on Thursday announced the signing of former Purdue center Josh Kaltenberger, who previously committed to the Terps in December.
Kaltenberger became the fifth transfer to sign with Maryland this cycle, joining offensive linemen Aliou Bah (Georgia) and Alan Herron (Shorter), cornerback Jalen Huskey (Bowling Green) and quarterback MJ Morris (NC State).
Per the 247Sports Composite, Kaltenberger was a three-star transfer prospect, ranked as the No. 53 interior offensive lineman in the portal.
Kaltenberger spent the past four seasons with the Boilermakers, making 36 appearances and seven starts. With his extensive experience in the Big Ten, Kaltenberger will be a top candidate to become the Terps’ starting center this coming season.
