Maryland volleyball announced this week that three seniors will return to the squad next season: Lilly Gunter, Anastasia Russ and Samantha Schnitta.

After transferring from Mississippi State ahead of this past season, Gunter made an immediate impact with the Terps. She appeared in all 32 matches, and ranked seventh in the Big Ten with 3.69 digs per set. She had a career-high five service aces in a sweep over Howard and recorded her 1,500th career dig against Nebraska.

Russ, like Gunter, appeared in every match this season. She recorded 185 kills on a .346 hitting percentage, the 10th-highest single-season clip in program history. Russ also finished second on the team with 119 total blocks and 1.09 per set.

Schnitta had the best offensive season of her career this season after transferring from Ole Miss, setting single-season highs in both kills (223) and kills per set (2.23).
