Three-star cornerback Lloyd Irvin officially signed with Maryland football Wednesday after announcing his commitment to the program in early July.

He is the second cornerback to officially sign with Maryland, joining Lakhi Roland.

Listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds, Irvin is ranked as the 100th-best cornerback in his class and the 33rd-best overall player in Maryland, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Irvin transferred from safety to cornerback midway through his career at Charles Herbert Flowers High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. He chose the Terps over Michigan, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Irvin is enrolling early and will join the Terps in the spring.
