Maryland football head coach Mike Locksley continued to see his offensive line depth increase when three-star tackle Davon Watkins signed with the program Wednesday.
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 315 pounds, Watkins attends St. Mary’s High School in Annapolis, Maryland.
At the time of his commitment in September, Watkins was an unranked recruit, per the 247Sport Composite, but has since been elevated to a three-star prospect. He is ranked as the No. 63 offensive tackle in his class and No. 23 player overall from the state of Maryland.
He chose the Terps over offers from Temple and Akron among others.
As a junior, Watkins earned all-state and all-conference recognition. He also starred on the school’s track and field team.
Watkins is one of seven offensive linemen in the Terps’ 2024 class.
