Maryland football added to its quarterback room Wednesday with the signing of three-star quarterback Khristian Martin.

Martin announced his commitment in July, choosing the Terps over Virginia, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M, among others.

Per the 247Sports Composite, Martin is the No. 78 ranked quarterback in his class.

In his junior year at Highland Springs High School (Highland Springs, Va.), he led his team to an undefeated 15-0 record and the VHSL Class 5 State Championship. He later earned co-All-Metro Player of the Year honors from the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

This past season, he brought Highland Springs back to the state championship game, this time in Class 6. But the Springers’ comeback bid from a 28-point deficit fell just short, 42-34.

Martin will likely sit behind three or four faces on the depth chart, with Billy Edwards Jr., MJ Morris and Cam Edge expected to compete for the starting spot with Taulia Tagovailoa exhausting his eligibility.
