Three-star offensive lineman Michael McMonigle officially signed with Maryland football on Wednesday’s early National Signing Day.
“I’m blessed to have the opportunity to play at the University of Maryland,” McMonigle told Testudo Times. “Thankful for my parents and coaches that have helped me along the way.”
McMonigle is a 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive lineman out of York, Pennsylvania. Playing at William Penn Senior High School, McMonigle is ranked as the No. 43 overall player in Pennsylvania and the No. 122 offensive tackle in his class by the 247Sports Composite.
He is one of three commits from Pennsylvania in Maryland’s 2024 recruiting class, all of which have signed their national letters of intent. He joins Michael Hershey and Anthony Robsock as linemen coming to Maryland from the state.
McMonigle started playing football in his freshman year of high school and received his first offer just two years later, according to the York Dispatch. McMonigle committed to Maryland in June after receiving offers from Syracuse, Marshall and Iowa State as well.
