Three-star offensive lineman Ryan Howerton officially signed with Maryland football on Wednesday.

Howerton, also known as “The Mountain,” committed to the Terps in July. He is a 6-foot-4, 295-pound offensive tackle out of Laurel, Md., where played at St. Vincent Pallotti High School. He is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 47 offensive lineman in his class and the 18th-best overall player in Maryland.

Howerton will play in the Under Armor All-America Game in January.

Howerton fielded offers from nine schools, including Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Boston College. He committed to Maryland one month after his official visit in June.
