NIL, Transfer Portal, Academic Financial Awards

Great article on NIL is here, with the get over it tone.

Starts with the rumored $1million offer to transfer.

So offers to athletes not yet at a school is not a bad thing.
Let the free market take it's course.
Athletes are not yet employees.
Tampering? No contract, no long term commitment.
How about a contract that states how long the Head Coach will be there.

The day of Indentured Athletes is over

"nowhere else in America can businesses get away with agreeing not to pay their workers a fair market rate on the theory that their product is defined by not paying their workers a fair market rate."

My note
NIL is not just about selling apparel or product as some would like you to think.
Who makes the money on apparel sales, not the athlete.
Everyone in the production and supply chain makes the money.

Selling signatures just ruins the experience for our young fans.
Pay them to represent and let them sign for free.
And how do you get to the athlete that is not charismatic or out going.
And every non rev sport too.

And the choices by a Collective of what to represent should not be polarizing.
They should be things everyone should be able to get behind.
Our Football Collective chose one that's solutions are state wide polarizing.
Now it's just he opposite for the individual athlete.
They should be able to chose whatever side of an issue they wish.
Their personal NIL will be effected by those decisions just like any other public figure but an individual choice.
