Three Maryland volleyball players earned Maryland Challenge All-Tournament honors after winning all three games this weekend.
Middle blocker Laila Ricks earned MVP after recording 18 kills and 14 blocks. Ricks now has the fourth most kills on the team with 69 and the second most blocks behind middle blocker Rainelle Jones with 54.
Middle blockers Cara Lewis and Hannah Thompson both earned a spot on the first team. Lewis registered 11 kills and four blocks while Thompson had 10 kills and five blocks in the Maryland Challenge.
Lewis and Thompson now rank fourth on the team as they have 26 blocks each.
The Terps closed out nonconference play with a 12-0 record, their best start since 2005 and they open up Big Ten play on Sept. 24 against Wisconsin in College Park, Maryland.
