Three members of the men’s golf team and three members of the women’s golf team were recognized as Big Ten 2021-2022 preseason honorees.
Both Will Koras and Dhaivat Pandya were also recognized as Academic All-Big Ten recipients last spring. Koras, a senior from Lutherville, Maryland, placed second in the Maryland State Junior Tournament in 2017.
Pandya, a senior, shot 70-71-72 (-3) during the summer of 2020 at the Northern Kentucky Amateur, finishing in fourth place. The Dayton, Ohio native placed tenth in the Puerto Rico Collegiate Individual Classic in spring 2020, right before the COVID-19 pandemic forced a cancellation of the remainder of the season.
Dillon Brown, a senior from Halifax, Massachusetts, recorded a score of 225 (77-74-74) during the 2019 spring season opener at the Puerto Rico Classic. The former Silver Lake Regional High School was named the 2017 Patriot League Golf MVP and won the 99th Massachusetts Junior Amateur Title in 2017.
Junior Maria Vittoria Corbi placed in the top 50 in four tournaments throughout the spring 2021 season. The Rome, Italy native tied for 41st place in the 2021 Big Ten Championship and concluded her season with a 74.53 scoring average.
Patricie Mackova, a sophomore from the Czech Republic, tied for 11th place in the spring 2021 Big Ten Championship and finished her season with a 74 scoring average.
Sophomore Karla Vazquez Setzer received medalist honors in the XXVII Campeonato Internacional Infantil Juvenil tournament. She also captured a pair of national titles in Mexico.
