MM 9.14: Maryland volleyball libero Milan Gomillion earns Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors

Maryland volleyball libero Milan Gomillion earned her second Big Ten Freshman of the Week title in a row. Gomillion is the first volleyball Terp to earn back-to-back freshman of the week honors since Maryland joined the Big Ten six years ago.

During this past weekend’s Charm City Challenge, Gomillion had 51 digs and 23 errorless service receptions. The Terps went 3-0 on the weekend, all three matches being sweeps.

Gomillion’s 51 digs bring her season total to 155, the highest total on the Terps. She has the second-highest amount of assists at 18 and has five service aces.

Maryland will host the Maryland Challenge this weekend at the Xfinity Pavilion and will face off against Akron on Friday, then Stony Brook and Columbia on Saturday.
