Maryland women’s basketball announced its Big Ten opponents on Thursday. The Terps went 17-1 in conference play during the 2020-21 season and the sole game they lost to a conference opponent was in January against Ohio State.
The Terps will have the chance to face the Buckeyes twice this upcoming regular season. Maryland will also face Indiana, Michigan, Penn State and Rutgers twice, both at home and away.
Last season, Maryland, Indiana, Michigan, Rutgers, Northwestern, Iowa and Michigan State all received 2020-21 NCAA Tournament bids. The Terps also finished last season as the top scoring team in the nation while the Hawkeyes finished second scoring 86.1 points per game.
The Terps will have to face Northwestern just once at home and they will play Iowa and Michigan State just once away. Maryland will also travel to Illinois and Minnesota and will host Nebraska, Purdue and Wisconsin.
