MM 10.4: Five Maryland women’s tennis players to participate in ITA Super Regionals

Maryland women’s tennis players Jojo Bach, Mary Brumfield, Selma Cadar, Francesca Feodorov and Marta Perez Mur will compete at the ITA Super Regionals slated for Oct. 22-25.

Bach, who recently transferred from the University of Delaware, was recognized as part of the All-CAA (Colonial Athletic Association) Second Team in singles and doubles her freshman and sophomore year. The 5-foot-11 junior was a G1 British Tour Semifinalist and two-time doubles finalist, and a two-time semifinalist in the ITF Juniors in Kenya.

Brumfield, a freshman from Mississippi, was rated No.41 in the class of 2021 and won the USTA Florida L3 in Jan. Cadar began her college career at the University of Miami. The Romania native was ranked No. 102 nationally in singles at the start of the 2021 spring season.

Feodorov, a freshman, was recognized as No.3 in Romania and No. 420 in the International Tennis Federation. She has victories at the ITF G4 Corfu and ITF G5 Cluj tournaments and the U16 Romanian National Championship.

A graduate transfer from the University of Texas, Perez Mur helped lead her team to an NCAA Championship. The Spain native also went 13-7 in doubles her senior year.
