Maryland football landed two new commits on Thursday in three-star offensive linemen Ja’Kavion Nonar and Keon Kindred, per their respective Twitter accounts.
Nonar and Kindred are teammates from Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Florida and announced their commitments to College Park, Maryland within two minutes of each other Thursday morning.
Nonar who stands at 6-foot-7 and 285 pounds originally committed to Pittsburgh before announcing in August he would reopen his commitment. Nonar also received offers from the University of Florida, Ole Miss and Arkansas State among others.
Kindred, on the other hand, is 6-foot-5 and weighs 290 pounds. He received interest from Arkansas State, Delaware State, FIU and Florida A&M before committing to Maryland.
Head coach Michael Locksley has now received 13 commitments for the Class of 2022, and the duo of Nonar and Kindred are the first two offensive linemen in that class.
