MM 10.25: Maryland volleyball’s Sydney Dowler records 1000th assist

Maryland sophomore volleyball setter Sydney Dowler recorded her 1000th career assist as a Terrapin during the team’s Oct. 23 victory over Michigan State, per a press release. The assist came in the third set, and the North Carolina native finished the game with 40 assists.

The 6-foot athlete also posted six kills, three service aces, five digs and three blocks.

Dowler’s dominant level of play this season earned her to be the Solomon Eye Associates Terp of the Week honors on Sept. 13, the 2021 Cherry and White Challenge MVP and the 2021 Charm City Challenge MVP.
