Maryland men’s basketball will play Virginia Tech in the Big Ten/ACC Men’s Basketball Challenge, marking the two squads’ first meeting since the Terrapins left the ACC after the 2013-14 season.

The game is now slated for Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7:15 p.m. in College Park and will be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The Terrapins hold a 32-10 all-time record against the Hokies, with six back-to-back victories. The two teams last faced each other on March 4, 2014, which resulted in a 64-47 point victory for Maryland. Former Terp and current Minnesota Timberwolves player Jake Layman led Maryland with 13 points and five rebounds in that contest. Former Terp Dez Wells followed closely behind with 11 points in the win.
