Is Mike Locksley The Right Choice To Lead UMD Football To Great Heights?

For nearly a decade, UMD's Athletic Director and Board of Regents have not been able to get it right!

After the firing of coach Ralph Friedgen by Kevin "Mr. Clueless" Andersen, and his inability to retain coach in waiting Jame Franklin. During his 10 years at his beloved alma mater, coach Friedgen had a win loss record of 75 wins and 50 losses -- 7 bowl appearances (5 wins and 2 losses).

Kevin botched UMD from getting coach Mike Leach, and settled for Randy Edsall, Randy had a win loss record of 21 - 34 during his first 4 years. Despite a poor record, Kevin gave him an extension. It took forever for the AD to grow a pair to finally fire him.

Last year's tragedy forced UMD to start it's coaching search all over again. AD Damon Evan and the Board of Regents made a mockery of the process. And, we settled for Mike Locksley -- who has a dismal record as a coach (ONLY 5 wins and 33 losses)!

Is he the right coach to lead UMD football to great heights ... or, at least win consistently like coach Friedgen did? Doesn't UMD deserve better?

We blame fans for poor attendance -- can you blame them? Put a winning product on the field and see what a difference that makes! And, yes! Folks at UMD are passionate about Football!!
