It’s the 167th episode of the Testudo Times Podcast and Maryland football is no longer ranked or undefeated after losing a tight game against Temple, 20-17, on the road.

The Terps only converted 5-of-21 third downs and 1-of-6 fourth downs. They were stuffed on the goal line many times and now head into a bye week 2-1 overall.

Maryland’s next game will come Sept. 27 when it hosts No. 13 Penn State in a Friday night lights matchup.

Lila Bromberg, Cody Wilcox and I recapped Maryland football’s 20-17 loss to Temple in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field, as well as both field hockey’s and volleyball’s weekend tournaments in College Park.

We also recapped the recent success of both men’s and women’s soccer. We talked about the importance of the bye week and what the Maryland football team has to do to prepare for Penn State. Here’s what you can expect in our latest podcast:

  • What went wrong for Maryland football against Temple?

  • Is the hype gone for the Penn State game?
