Maryland men's basketball couldn't have picked a tougher draw for its first top-25 matchup of the season. The Terps tip off against No. 1 Michigan State in East Lansing at 8 p.m. ET on FS1.
Maryland puts its seven-game winning streak on the line against a Spartans squad that has won 13 straight, dating back to November. The Terps are still adjusting to life without Justin Jackson and Ivan Bender, and it could be tough to keep up with the top-ranked team in the country. They slowed down the pace against Penn State, and that may be their only hope against a team that ranks in the top-15 for offensive and defensive efficiency, according to Kenpom. Maryland is 10-27 in games against the No. 1 team in the country, but this is one of Spartans head coach Tom Izzo's most talented teams.
We may be in for a bumpy ride, but it's the same old thread. This is your space for commentary, analysis or whatever comes to mind. As always, stay respectful, and go Terps.
