For the first time in 30 seasons, Maryland football is playing a regular-season Friday game. The Terps will take on the Florida International Golden Panthers at in Miami at 7:30 p.m on CBS Sports Network.
It’s certainly not a conventional time to play a college football game. DJ Durkin had to eschew the regular Sunday off day this so that the Terps could prepare for this game. Luckily, most of Maryland’s starters only played half of the team’s win over Howard. They’re still favored to win, even on the road. FIU lost 34-13 to Indiana last week, and the Hoosiers ought to be a pretty good bellwether for Maryland.
FIU: 0-1 (N/A)
Maryland: 1-0 (N/A)
Odds: Maryland opened the week as a 10-point favorite, and the spread currently favors the Terps by 10.5.
