Maryland football is favored by 10 points over Florida International in the Terps’ Friday matchup this week, according to Oddshark.
Bill Connelly’s advanced metrics give the Terps a 78 percent probability of winning on Friday and projects a 13.5-point spread.
This isn’t Florida International’s first taste of Big Ten action this season, as the Golden Panthers lost to Indiana 31-13 in their first game of 2016. Florida International is the No. 113 team in the nation, according to S&P+, which lists the Terps at No. 63. Maryland won, 26-10 in 2007, the last time the two teams played.
Maryland opened up as 48.5-point favorites over Week 1 opponent Howard this summer, according to european sportsbook 5Dimes, but there was no spread listed before the game on Saturday. Maryland beat Howard, 52-13 this past Saturday.
The game is the first of back-to-back trips to Florida for Maryland, as the Terps will return to face UCF in Week 3.
