Editor's note:
Maryland football got off to a good start in DJ Durkin's first game as the program's head coach. The Terps rumbled over Howard, 52-13, on Saturday afternoon. The Bison were an overmatched opponent, to be sure. The FCS squad went 1-10 last season including a 76-0 loss to Boston College, so anything less than a blowout would probably have been cause for concern.
From Kenneth Goins Jr.'s opening touchdown to Howard's garbage-time passing score, our Sammi Silber was there to capture it all.
