Maryland football QB commit Kasim Hill now in Rivals top 100

He joins another Maryland commit on the list.

Kasim Hill isn’t the highest-rated player in the class of 2017 to commit to Maryland — that’s defensive end Joshua Kaindoh — but the four-star quarterback could end up being as important as anyone the Terps sign.

Rivals just bumped Hill into its list of the top 100 recruits in the nation at No. 97. He joins defensive end commit Joshua Kaindoh (No. 27) as the only other Terp on the list. This is a big jump for Hill, who is ranked as the No. 248 player in the country on the 247Sports Composite.

Maryland fans are obviously hoping that Hill can bring an end to the years of uncertainty surrounding the team’s quarterback position. With Perry Hills and Caleb Rowe both graduating after this season, it looks like Hill will have a chance to at least compete for the starting job right away. Of course, a high rating from a recruiting service doesn’t guarantee anything, but it certainly bodes well.
